RESOURCES FOR RENSSELAER COUNTY LOCAL HISTORY

• The Arvilla E. Diver Library  local history collection contains Schaghticoke town histories and some manuscript collections of the Diver family.
• Berlin Free Library contains a local history collection that includes genealogical records and information about local cemeteries.
• Castleton Public Library  local history collection contains contains materials on the Village of Castleton and the immediate surrounding area. The collection also includes several locally published histories of the village.
• The Cheney Public Library of Hoosick Falls   local history collection includes materials on the Town of Hoosick, Rensselaer County and adjacent portions of Vermont.1948
• The East Greenbush Community Library local history collection possesses materials relating to East Greenbush, Rensselaer County and the City of Albany.
• The Grafton Community Library local history collection contains information on Grafton and Rensselaer County.
• The Stephentown Memorial Library  local history collection contains information about the town of Stephentown, Rensselaer County, and Columbia County.
• The Troy Public Library local history collection includes local history monographs, genealogical materials, and the archives of the library. The collection concentrates upon Troy and Rensselaer County, as well as some neighboring areas in Albany and Saratoga counties.
• The Valley Falls Free Library   local history collection includes materials on the Towns of Pittstown and Schaghticoke, Rensselaer County and the village of Valley Falls. The Political Equality Collection "contains materials on the organization which was formed to promote suffrage for women."
• The Watervliet Public Library   contains selected materials on the cities of Watervliet and Troy.
