Weekend MBA: Program Overview

The University at Albany’s AACSB-accredited School of Business offers the Weekend MBA Program in cooperation with The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County and in partnership with other chambers of commerce:  Adirondack Regional, Albany-Colonie Regional, Bethlehem, Guilderland, Rensselaer County Regional, Saratoga County, and The Chamber of Schenectady County.  We welcome students with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.

The Weekend MBA Program is based on a general MBA curriculum.  This program is designed for individuals who seek to learn best business practices, and provides valuable tools, knowledge, and strategies that students can use in their current professions.  In fact, students are able to apply what they learn each weekend to their jobs on Monday.  All Weekend MBA students are required to travel internationally as a part of the program.  The trip enables students to learn about global concepts and practices directly from a particular country’s industry leaders.  Due to the cohort nature of the program, course waivers are not permitted.

Most classes are held in Saratoga County at our Executive Education Center in Clifton Park, NY (right off exit 9 of the Northway, click here for directions) on alternating weekends.  This new, modern center was chosen not only to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning but also for its central location.  Students will earn their MBA degree after 22 months of study and successful completion of 48 credits.  The program investment includes tuition, textbooks, course materials, the international trip, and meals.
