Guest Lecture & Presentation by Travelers Property Casualty Corp.

Guest Speaker , Mr. William A. Bloom, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer of Travelers Property Casualty Corp. will deliver a lecture on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, 4-5:30 pm in BA229.

Mr.Bloom is a UAlbany Alumni with B.S. in Computer Science. He has 15 years of experience in Technology and Insurance Industry. He is a former Accenture Partner in Financial Service Practice.

Refreshments will be served in BA220. Business Attire Required. 1st Year MBA students expected to attend

Guest Lecture & Presentation by Morgan Stanley

Following an invitation from ITM Prof. Sanjay Goel, on Thursday, October 7, 2004 William Steinberg from Morgan Stanley held a guest lecture to the 2nd year MBA ITM class about IT Business Applications at Morgan Stanley.

William is specialized in Enterprise Application Infrastructure with a focus on Institutional Securities and Investment Management.During this fascinating lecture, he introduced several applications like “Capital in Peril”, “Portfolio in Peril”, “JXB (Java XML Base)” and “SOAP (Single Object Access Protocol)” and how they are used for Morgan Stanley clients. Though specialized on Finance & Investment, Morgan Stanley spends approximately $2.5B per year for its IT Budget

Online Career Library Now Available to School of Business Students

The Vault Online Career Library is now available to School of Business students. This library will allow you to research multiple companies, industries, and specific careers. You are able to access and download multiple industry and career guidebooks, employer profiles, and occupational profiles. You can access videos, surveys, and salary charts.
