Student Awards- Photo Album

May 4, 2005 For the 21 st year, the School of Business recognized exceptional academics and community service at the Students Awards ceremony and luncheon. Twenty-nine awards and scholarships were presented to deserving students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Senior Wendy Hale received the Wall Street Journal Award for her terrific grades and contributions to the University and the community. She had been previously honored with the 2005 Chancellors Award for Student Excellence , the President's Award for Undergraduate Leadership and the 2004 Barnes and Noble Scholarship .

Another undergraduate, Jason Ellsworth, accepted the Presidential Award for Undergraduate Research for developing an information system that requires no special training for the fire department volunteers who use it for mandatory reporting

Two students shared the Full-Time MBA Academic Achievement Award : Musa Aghamirzayev and Christopher Brown. Both also earned their undergraduate degrees at the UAlbany School of Business.

Meredith Oaks, promoted to Pension and Financial Analyst for GE Corporate after earning her degree last December, was recognized with the Graduate Academic Achievement Award: Evening MBA .

A May graduate, Jun Xu, received the Graduate Academic Achievement Award: MS Accounting for academics and leadership. He'll start work on his MS in Taxation at U Albany in the fall, following Amanda Quinn, an MS Tax student who was an undergrad in Accounting. This year, Amanda was presented with the Graduate Academic Achievement Award: MS Taxation. PHOTOS
