Program Overview

The University at Albany School of Business offers the Weekend MBA Program in Saratoga in cooperation with the Southern Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and in partnership with other chambers of commerce: the Adirondack Regional, Albany-Colonie Regional, Rensselaer County, Saratoga County, Fulton County and Schenectady County Chambers of Commerce.

This program is designed for individuals who seek to learn best business practices and provides valuable tools, wisdom and strategies that participants can use in their current professional lives. Often, students are able to apply what they learn each weekend in their current jobs on Monday.

The Weekend MBA Program is based upon a general MBA curriculum. Students are able to enter from a variety of backgrounds and are taught the fundamental concepts of the functional areas of business. Due to the cohort nature of the program, course waivers are not permitted. The Weekend MBA Program will provide the skills needed by leaders of organizations competing in a global economy with rapid technological change. All weekend MBA students are required to travel internationally as a part of the program. As a group we travel to learn about global business and what it means to a manager today.

Most classes are held in Saratoga County at an executive education facility in Clifton Park, NY (right off of exit 9 of the Northway, click here for directions) on alternating weekends. This new, modern facility was chosen not only to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning but also for its central location. Students will earn their MBA degree after 22 months of study and successful completion of 48 credit-hours of courses. The program costs include tuition, books and meals.
