Message from the Director

The School of Business is very proud to offer the Weekend MBA Program. The unique structure and distinctive students make this program very special within the University community. As the students are in a cohort with other professionals from various backgrounds with a variety of work and life experiences, the cohort learns and grows in new and interesting ways each year.

The classroom environment is executive in nature, students primarily attend class off-site in our Executive Education Center in Saratoga County NY, where they are expected to participate in lively discussion and very interactive classroom experiences. Each cohort travels as an integral part of the program to an International destination to learn global business on the ground and in person. Travel expenses are included in the tuition.

The main reason people join us is for knowledge, and we try to make that process as easy as possible. The professional and dedicated staff in the Weekend program assist with all administrative details, from registering you for classes, purchasing book, distributing class notes and materials and arranging for food and snacks, so when you come to class you can concentrate on learning.

The program is demanding, it is an academically rigorous program that requires twenty-two months to complete. The complete 48 credit hour MBA curriculum takes students through the basics of business to the capstone course of "Strategic Management", providing full integration and application of management knowledge gained in the previous months of study. The faculty and staff at the School of Business are dedicated to providing you not just the education you desire, but the skills and opportunity needed to succeed.

If you are a professional with significant work experience and the desire to complete a rigorous course of study in a defined time period to accelerate your career, please give me a call. As this is a decision that will affect your future and your life, interested students are encouraged to visit a class and speak with the director before committing to the program.

Sincerely,

Donald G. Purdy
