Message from the Director

I am very pleased that you have chosen to learn more about the University at Albany Evening MBA. Knowledge gained in our graduate business programs can help you reach your next set of career goals. We make every effort to accommodate the unique needs of our students.

At the University at Albany School of Business, we understand that trying to finish a graduate degree while working full-time is a daunting task. We offer flexible evening classes so that students with professional work obligations can earn an MBA. Course scheduling is designed to relieve some of the pressure that working students experience. Classes begin at 5:45 pm, offer a break at 7:00 pm, and end at 8:35 pm. Students attend class one evening per week for each class that they take. Most find that two classes a semester is a reasonable workload to balance with work and family commitments.

One of the hallmarks of the Evening MBA Program is its flexibility. You set the pace at which you move through the program. Students work individually with our Director of Graduate Student Services, Zina Lawrence, to map out their individualized program plan of study.  Some classes may be waived based upon prior coursework. An MBA can be completed in as few as two or as many as six years.

With guidance from dedicated faculty and staff (a program director, academic advisor, and career counselor), we ensure academic excellence and plenty of individual attention.  We also offer specializations within the MBA program— Elective Tracks in six different areas— Finance, Marketing, Management, Information Technology Management, Tax, and New Venture Development.
UAlbany offers low tuition costs, offering a private school education at public school cost.  It’s a terrific return on your educational investment. It’s also important to note our MBA programs are AACSB-accredited.

Enrolling in UAlbany’s Evening MBA program will be the best business decision you’ll ever make!

I’m happy to meet with you to discuss your interest. I also encourage you to attend one of our upcoming Information Sessions.

Sincerely,
Melissa Palmucci
