Message from the Director
 |
We are very proud of the University at Albany's Evening MBA Program and
the success that its graduates have experienced since gaining their
degrees. Here at Albany we truly care about the special needs evening
students have, and we make continuous improvements to the program based
on student feedback and suggestions. |
Our program is AACSB-accredited and offers working students an MBA
degree with flexible evening classes. At the University at Albany, we
realize that trying to obtain a degree while working full time is quite
a daunting task. The Evening Program's course scheduling is specifically
designed to relieve some of the pressure that working students
experience. Classes begin at 5:45, give students a break about 7:00 and
end at 8:35. Students come to class one evening per week for each class
that they take, and most find that 2 classes a semester is a reasonable
workload to balance with work and family.
One of the hallmarks of the Evening MBA Program is its flexibility. Each
student works individually with our graduate student advisor to map out
their individualized program of study. The curriculum includes the
option of waiving out of certain classes, based upon your individual
background. Your advisor will assist you in determining your path.
Then you set the pace and complete your degree in two to six years. We
also offer accelerated study options, allowing students to get their
degree more quickly than ever before.
While obtaining a general MBA degree is an option for our students, we
also offer the option of specializing in one of four functional areas.
Elective tracks consist of elective courses and advanced research and
are offered in Marketing, Information Technology Management, Management, and
Finance.
The University is extremely proud of its Evening Program and the
students who have graduated from it. While students earn a living during
the day, they earn their futures during the evening!
Sincerely,
Melissa Palmucci
