Full-Time MBA Program: Application Instructions


The procedures for applying to the program are provided below.Early processing of your application will enable you to have more planning time. Every application will be considered by the University at Albany Graduate Admissions Office and the School of Business.

An application to the Full-Time MBA Program requires the following:

  1. A completed University at Albany application. Please be sure to complete all sections of the application.

  2. Transcripts from all educational institutions you have attended, including the accredited institution at which you received your undergraduate degree.
  3. A copy of your GMAT score.*
    *You must request official scores to be sent to UAlbany either at the time you take the exam or afterwards. The Office of Graduate Admissions will not accept photocopies and will not consider a file complete unless they get official scores from GMAC.
  4. Three (3) completed recommendation forms with letters attached sent in signed, sealed envelopes.
    Recommendations from current and/or previous employers and faculty at UAlbany or other universities are encouraged.
  5. A copy of your resume (curriculum vitae) that provides detailed information about your previous education (e.g., name of institution, program of study, degree or diploma or certificate received, dates of attendance) and work experience (e.g., employer, job title, responsibilities, dates of employment).
  6. Application fee — $75 credit card payment, check, or money order made payable to the University at Albany.*
    *Note: If you are admitted into the program, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required (must be received within 10 days of notification of acceptance) to hold your position in the class. This deposit will be applied to the first semester tuition payment.
  7. Personal Statement-outlining your goals and objectives for your MBA program of study.
  8. International Students will also need to submit:
       -TOEFL or IELTS score
       -Financial Affidavit
