Evening MBA: Application Instructions

The procedures for applying to the Evening MBA program are provided below. Early submission of your application will allow you more time to meet with an advisor and plan your coursework in advance of the next semester. Please note that a minimum of three years professional work experience is required prior to entry in the Evening MBA program, for both degree and non-degree study. Every application will be considered by the University at Albany Graduate Admissions Office and the School of Business.

A degree* application to the Evening MBA Program requires the following:

1) A completed University at Albany application. Please be sure to complete all sections of the application. Click here for the application.   

2) Application fee — $75 payable online with your application.

3) A copy of your GMAT score. You must request that your official scores be sent to UAlbany either at the time you take the exam or thereafter. The Office of Graduate Admissions will not accept photocopies and will not consider a file complete unless they receive official scores from GMAC. 

4) Three (3) completed recommendation forms with letters attached sent in signed, sealed envelopes. Recommendations from current and/or previous employers and faculty at UAlbany or other universities are encouraged. 

5) A copy of your resume (curriculum vitae) that provides detailed information about your previous education (e.g., name of institution, program of study, degree or diploma or certificate received, dates of attendance) and work experience (e.g., employer, position, responsibilities, dates of employment). 

6) Transcripts from all educational institutions you have attended, including the accredited institution at which you received your undergraduate degree. 

7) Personal Statement outlining your goals and objectives for your MBA program of study.

* It is also possible to apply to the Evening MBA program as a non-degree student. Please submit a non-degree application, $20 application fee, resume, and official transcripts to Graduate Admissions. December 1, 2010: Application Deadline for Spring 2011 semester
