School of Business Job Board

"The Job Board has a good selection of professional jobs. If you go through Monster and Career Builder, you have to weed through a lot of jobs. You get stuff that doesn't fit. At the School of Business site, there's less to look at, not a lot of nonsense like work-at-home jobs, since it's geared to professionals."

Greg Perry, MBA, Class of 2005

"We've received resumes for a variety of positions through the Job Board. It was relatively easy to use. Within a couple of days (of posting the position), I started seeing resumes. It worked very well. As an employer, I'm always looking for a cost effective way to recruit, so it helped that the service was free."

Dawn Ramasco, Staffing Administrator, Empire Credit Union

Our job board is a free secure site strictly for the use of UAlbany School of Business students and alumni, and those who want to hire them. It's a quick easy way to look for jobs and internships.

JP Morgan, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Schenectady International, AYCO and Office of the State Comptroller are among the organizations that have listed job opportunities. Positions are located in New York City, Boston and, not surprisingly, the Capital District and other regions.

Current students should provide the Office of Career Services with their current email address, so that they can receive weekly communications regarding job and internship opportunities.

Current Students and Alumni

Candidates create a user name and password, answer some questions about degree and contact information and post a resume. They choose a region and type of job, and then the website sends emails with jobs that meet the criteria. They can search by organization, job title, location and other descriptors. All we ask is that candidates report to us when they find a job.

Employers

After companies provide information about the job and the organization, our administrator emails a user name and password. Employers may search for candidates through a variety of ways, including: degree and year it was received, years of experience, skills and other details.
