Graduate Accounting Programs
The University at Albany offers a variety of graduate programs in accounting and related fields to address the diverse backgrounds and interests of our students.
For students interested in pursuing a career in accounting, but who do not possess an undergraduate degree in accounting or business, we offer our Master of Science – Accounting degree program. This program is a two-year, 60-credit program specifically designed to meet the needs of students from a diverse range of nonbusiness academic backgrounds. Students completing this program meet the 150-hour CPA education requirement.
We offer three Master's degree programs for students with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or in Business with an Accounting minor. Each of these is a 30-credit program. They enable students to pursue specialized curriculum in the various areas of accounting, including Taxation, Tax Practice, Professional Accountancy, and Forensic Accounting. Except for the Tax Practice concentration, these programs meet the 150-hour CPA education requirement.
