About the School

The University at Albany School of Business has been providing students of all ages and backgrounds with high quality academic programs that build critical business management skills essential for achieving long-term success. Our undergraduate programs began in 1970, and UAlbany quickly became recognized as one of the most comprehensive and competitive business schools in the Northeast. Our graduate programs followed a couple of years later, and they continue to draw students from all over the world by offering both full-time and part-time opportunities to earn a highly regarded advanced degree.

The secret to our success is multi-faceted. We have an outstanding and accomplished faculty who provide a superior level of instruction, a student population that rises to the challenges of our aggressive curriculum, modern classroom and computer labs that foster an interactive and "high tech" learning environment, and applied experiences in the form of relevant internships, on-site field projects with local and regional companies, and in-class projects/case studies that address the most topical business themes.

Our graduates leave with a clear understanding of what happens when they enter the "real world", because as students they have learned by doing. High placement of our graduates in meaningful positions with A-list companies — including Accenture, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Deloitte Consulting, Empower, Merrill Lynch and the May Company — enables them to make a seamless transition from a hands-on academic environment to a professional situation.
