Dual AACSB Accreditation

In 2011, the School of Business maintained its highly  prestigious dual AACSB International accreditation in business administration and  accounting. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education. It represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Programs receiving AACSB International accreditation have superior faculty, high-caliber teaching, and meaningful interaction between students and faculty. The University at Albany is one of only three public universities in New York State with dual AACSB accreditation in business administration and accounting (the University at Buffalo and Baruch are the other two).  This is an elite distinction shared by fewer than 2% of world's 13,000 business schools.   In 1974, The University at Albany's School of Business was the first school in the world to be accredited by AACSB at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
