Pathways to the MBA: For CNSE MS & PhD Students

Did you know the University at Albany’s Graduate School of Business is ranked by The Princeton Review in the top 10 for Best Places for Women to earn their MBA and Top 15 for Best Places to earn an MBA in Management?

Interested in Business? It is never too late for you to complete a Masters in Business Administration. Now current Masters and PhD NanoScale Science and Engineering students can complete their MBA in just 30 credits! A typical MBA is a 48-credit degree program but it’s possible for Nano-Technology students to finish a Masters in Business Administration degree in as few as 30 credits! Here’s how it works…

Start with 48 Credits.

  • 9 Credits. These credits are earned in CNSE and count as your advanced standing elective credits from the business related classes you have already completed as part of your CNSE degree.
  • 3 Credits. These are the credits waived for your quantitative methods class.
  • 6 Credits. These are the maximum number of credits that can be waived depending on undergraduate or graduate course work you have completed.

= 30 Credits for MBA completion.

This Program is Open To ALL CNSE Students. Masters and PhD CNSE students are welcome.

  • Anytime Is The Right Time. Can be added to your existing course load at any time during your career at the University at Albany.
  • Go At Your Own Pace.  Take as many or as little credits that you feel comfortable with.
  • Have Time To Do It All! No need to stress about finishing two degrees at the same time.
