I chose UAlbany because…
I transferred to Albany. I was recruited by Head Coach Will Brown and my older brother (Assistant Coach) Jon, who played for UAlbany. The business program is strong and competitive.

Why accounting?
My dad was CFO of a Fortune 500 company. I want a stable career.

Favorite professors

Iati Sports trivia
I started playing basketball when I was three years old. My dad had a kid-size basketball court built in the basement.
My mother was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Colts and my dad played football and wrestled in college.

What I’m proud of
Early in my career I was a bench player. This year and last year, I was starter and captain.I was chosen for America East Conference All-Academic Team and received the Doc Sauers endowment.

Editor’s note: Jacob Iati danced with Duke. The #15 ranked men played #2 Duke in the NCAA tournament. Iati was the high scorer for UAlbany with 15 points and recorded four for four for free throws, three for four 3-pointers, six assists and three steals. Duke prevailed: 73-61. Iati led the America East in 3 pointers this season: 92 shots.

What does the future bring?
I want to live and work in New York, and would love to work in finance.
