Finance Students Compete at NYSSA

For the third year, top UAlbany finance students participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge, an annual stock analysis competition with graduate and undergraduate students from approximately twenty schools. The first round of the annual global competition was held at the headquarters of the New York Society of Securities Analysts. Students were asked to analyze Colgate Palmolive and had only 10 minutes to demonstrate to a panel of experienced security analysts an exhaustive knowledge of the company and industry, to value the stock, and produce a well-defended investment recommendation of buy, sell or hold.
