Research Labs

new Life Science BuildingThe research labs are located in the Biology Building on the main academic podium and in the adjacent Life Sciences Building. The Life Sciences Building houses researchers from the departments of Biology, Psychology, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Graduate Research Opportunities

student researcher The Department has a strong research focus and provides numerous research opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. These opportunities are best explored by investigating the web pages of the individual faculty. Selecting a keyword from the list above will take you to a list of faculty with related interests. Undergraduate Research Opportunities

A variety of undergraduate research opportunities are available in the Albany area and a student can seek credit through Independent Research, A Bio 399 and 499. Students who feel that they need additional laboratory skills before undertaking independent research can take Bio 299.
