Department Name
  Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

The graduate program in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) provides opportunity for doctoral research on a number of contemporary, challenging questions. Recent graduates of the EEB program have studied topics ranging from population dynamics theory to freshwater ecology. EEB added two new faculty members in 2007, and collaborations with faculty at nearby institutions promote the exchange of ideas and increase total expertise.

Several EEB faculty members have joined with colleagues in the Department of Anthropology and at the Wadsworth Research Laboratories to sponsor graduate research on the Evolutionary Ecology of Disease. Exciting questions, with possible biomedical and security implications, motivate the interdisciplinary effort.

EEB has a record of producing successful PhD graduates; many now hold faculty positions in other universities. We invite anyone interested in the EEB graduate program to contact the Department of Biological Sciences, or individual faculty members.
