Detectors - a total of 8 channels can be monitored simultaneously
PMT 2 and PMT 3 are available for fluorescence imaging of the prep. Each of these PMTs has independent gain and offset settings as well as separate pinholes.
PMT 1 has been removed to accommodate the META channel.
PMT M is available to monitor the laser output for quantitative applications where fluctuations in the excitation are critical.
PMT D is available to obtain transmitted images with the lasers. DIC is available for all lenses.
META Detector - Light is sent through a grating that diffracts different wavelengths across a linear array of detectors. Each detector samples 10.7nm of the spectrum. By choosing detectors, the investigator can use the META capability as a programmable filter or can make discriminations based on differences between spectral curves.
