"It's a diverse community of Post-docs, Graduate students, Undergraduates and Technicians. The lab is interdisciplinary and from different programs and schools."
Our lab is an active, happy place in which we encourage a healthy balance between science and life. Our research explores the dynamics of elements that interrupt genes, introns and inteins. We study their basic properties of structure, function and regulation, and their applications in biotechnology and infectious disease.
We are supported by longstanding NIH grants that help us create an interactive multi-disciplinary environment.
