What is the BABY study trying to find out?
We are interested to learn more about how the experiences a mother has had during her life and her pregnancy may be related to her or her baby's health and well-being.
We hope this study will help us better understand the best ways to improve health equity in Black and African American families before, during, and after pregnancy. |

What does participation involve?

You will be asked to complete 3 research visits:
For convenience, visits will be completed in your home OR at the prenatal clinic at AMC. Visits involve a couple short activities and an interview, and will take 3-4 hours to complete. You can be compensated up to $255 for your participation
Fathers/ romantic partners are also invited to participate. Fathers/ romantic partner participation is optional, and fathers/ romantic partners would only be contacted with your permission. Fathers/ romantic partners can be compensated up to $195 for participation:
