Carolyn Scanlon is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state of New York. She holds a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the College of Saint Rose and an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from The Sage Colleges.  Carolyn has experience as a behavior specialist at a school for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, complex learning disabilities, and other developmental disabilities.  She developed individualized behavior plans to address behaviors that interfered with a student's daily functioning by using positive behavior supports to teach and facilitate appropriate replacement behaviors.  She has extensive experience in the assessment of challenging behavior including the processes of functional behavior assessment (FBA) and functional analysis.  Carolyn also has experience developing and implementing skill acquisition programs for children with autism in the home setting based on the principles of ABA.
