CARD Albany's Program and Students Recognized for Contributions to the CommunityUAlbany was named to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for student contribution to community-engaged service. At the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, students helped faculty and staff develop effective educational programs and conduct other activities, contributing to the Center’s training of almost 7,300 individuals in 2009-10. |

Overwhelming Turnout to Annual Guest Lecture by Nationally Recognized Autism ResearcherApproximately 75 medical professionals and over 200 parents and non-medical professionals were in attendance for the annual distiguished guest lecture series on autism. The speaker was Dr. Robert Schultz, director of the Center for Autism Research, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He presented the topic "Progress in Identifying the Biological Foundations of the Autism Spectrum Disorders." |

CARD Albany Presents Research at International Symposium on AutismCARD Albany graduate students presented a research poster at the 2010 Geneva Centre for Autism International Symposium on Autism this past November in Toronto. The poster detailed the results of a study examining typically developing fir st grade student's attitudes towards a peer with behaviors indicative of autism. |
