Areas of Expertise: autism spectrum disorders, infant and toddler social development
Stephanie Fox received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. As an undergraduate at Pitt, she worked as a research assistant on a project examining the early social development of infants at genetic risk for developing an autism spectrum disorder. She also worked as an undergraduate therapist at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During her employment at WPIC, Stephanie worked on the hospital’s numerous inpatient units where she earned experience with various forms of mental illness, including ADHD, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders. After graduating, Stephanie assumed the role of project coordinator for the Toddler Social Development portion of the Pitt Early Autism Study (PEAS). Her professional experience includes working closely with infants and toddlers with autism and their families, in both clinical and home settings, in order to assess their socio-emotional development. She is currently enrolled as a clinical doctoral student at the University at Albany, SUNY.
