Study Abroad

Study abroad can be one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences in a college student’s career. Education abroad allows students to travel, experience life in another country, develop greater cultural understanding and much more. A recent report by the Institute of International Education demonstrates that study abroad can help students develop important career skills. Students who study abroad can also participate in other forms of applied learning, like internships, service-learning, and research, during their time abroad.

University at Albany students have the opportunity to go abroad for an entire semester or shorter periods of time, like during Wintersession or Spring Break. The Center for International Education and Global Strategy’s Education Abroad division can connect students with many established programs abroad. Several faculty members also lead students on short-term trips abroad.
