Welcome to the Department of Anthropology. Our department is a four-field department focusing on archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and linguistics. We offer undergraduate degrees in Anthropology, Linguistics, and Human Biology as well as graduate degrees (MA and PhD) in Anthropology. Our faculty members are internationally recognized scholars and educators.

Dr. Rosenswig recently won a $290,000 grant to survey the Soconusco region of Mexico using sophisticated aerial LIDAR to detect previously unknown sites.
The new grant will bolster the Center's research to improve access to health screening and quality health care for underrepresented groups.
The Association for Feminist Anthropology is pleased to announce the Michelle Z. Rosaldo Price, a new honor in our field. Michelle Z. Rosaldo was one of the earliest theorists in feminist anthropology.
