Purple & Gold Student Ambassadors

Who we are
UAlbany's Purple & Gold Student Ambassadors is a group of students who represent UAlbany at high-profile functions. Purple & Gold members serve as ambassadors for UAlbany and represent the University to its constituencies: alumni, University guests, the campus and the community.

What we do
Purple & Gold Student Ambassadors have opportunities to network with influential alumni and community representatives while acting as hosts at alumni, development, university and presidential events. Members may also participate in corporate executive visits and travel to regional alumni chapter events.

What are the benefits of being a member?

Purple and Gold members Alexis Imprescia (L.) and Sarah Sampson (R.) share the UAlbany story with Assemblyman John J McEneny during UAlbany Day ’08.
  • Network with well-connected, influential alumni and corporate representatives
  • Sharpen your leadership and communication skills
  • Build professional and social contacts
  • Receive a letter of recommendation from the President's Office upon completion of the program
  • Generate pride in UAlbany

How do I become a member?
The application process for 2009-2010 is now closed. Applications for 2010-2011 will be accepted in October 2010. To apply, students must be a sophomore or junior.
