A UAlbany legacy is a student or alumnus/a who has a parent or grandparent who is a UAlbany alumnus/a.
About the Program
As a UAlbany legacy, you are part of a special tradition here at UAlbany - one of more than 800 families with two or more generations of UAlbany students. The legacy program recognizes families for their continued generational support, provides networking opportunities, and helps legacies stay connected through special programs and events. Highlights include a special welcome gift for freshmen, a legacy scholarship, an exclusive presidents' reception at Homecoming and VIP seating at commencement.Are You a UAlbany Legacy?

The Alumni Association established the Bertha Brimmer Legacy Scholarship in 2005 in honor of all our legacy families. The scholarship is open to incoming legacy freshmen who will be joining the university in the Fall, incoming transfer students and current freshmen legacies. Wear It With Pride
All legacy seniors and their legacy parent/grandparent are presented with a pin during commencement weekend that identifies them as someone with a special connection to UAlbany.
