Harvie B. Klaus 1941
Harvie B. Klaus received a Bachelor's degree from State in 1941 before enlisting. He trained as a meteorologist and made forecasts for anti-submarine flights over the Atlantic off the East coast of the US, as well as for bombing and fighter missions over Europe form England. Later, his unit moved to France where the provided forecasts to support the Allied ground troops. After V-E Day, the unit moved to Germany to forecast for civilian purposes until German forecasters returned to work. After the war, he returned to State College, completing and MA in 1947.
