Reginald
Stanhope graduated from Albany State College for Teachers in 1929. He began
teaching in Greenburgh, NY, remaining there until 1936 when he left to become
principal of an elementary school in Tarrytown, NY. He joined the Navy as
a Lieutenant, junior grade, in 1942 and was discharged as a Lieutenant in
1945. He returned to teaching, this time as a math and science teacher in
Irvington, NY, where he remained until his retirement in 1970.
