Robert A. Sage

 

 
Robert A. Sage spent thirty years in the Navy following his graduation from Albany in 1955. Highlights from his career include service as Deputy Commandant of the Armed Forces Staff College (AFSC) of the national Defense University, the Dean of Academic Support and Dean of Academic Operations at the AFSC, Commanding Officer of Carrier Airborne Early warning Squadron 123 (VAW-123), as well as 244 combat support missions from the USS Saratoga (Cv-60) during the Vietnam conflict. This photo was taken in 1985, when he assumed his duties as Deputy Commandant at the AFSC.
