Lloyd M. Loop graduated from Albany in 1953. By chance, he entered the Army at the same time as Morris "Moe" Hamlin, who he had known at Albany. The two men went through basic training together and remained together throughout their time in the Army. In the upper photograph Hamlin is on the left and Loop is on the right. In the lower photograph, Loop is about to stand inspection for guard duty. Both pictures were taken at Fort Benning, Georgia in November 1954.
