| Alan J. Lizotte, later a professor in
the School of Criminal Justice, served in the Navy from July 1966
to January 1970. He served one tour in Vietnam on a guided missile
frigate, the USS Jouet, and one and a half tours on land with
the Inshore Undersea Warfare Group One. By the time he was discharged,
he had attained the rank of Second Class Petty Officer, as a radioman.
After his discharge, he became active in the antiwar movement, joining
the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. |
