Edward Gleason



Edward Gleason, who graduated from the University in 1977 with a BS in Biology, received a commission in the US Coast guard in 1978, after his graduation from Officer Candidate School. Before retiring from the Coast Guard in 1999, he had served as the Military Aide to the Secretary of Transportation; Deputy Group Commander in Milwaukee; Chief, Budget Branch of the First Coast Guard District (in Boston, MA); Chief, Supply Branch on Governors Island, First Lieutenant aboard a polar ice breaker, and as an ice reconnaissance officer, and most recently as Commander of Coast guard group Milwaukee.
