Edith T. Aney Davidson '44 served in the Women's Army Corps (1944-1946). She was a veteran of World War and was a volunteer. It was not a career choice; she went into the army to help the war effort. She was in Military Intelligence and after the war in the Adjutant General's Office.
While at the University, Edith was president of the Dramatic & Arts Council, and a member of Myskania '44. She has written a book, "Intricay, Design and Cunning in the Book of Judges" (Xlibris, 2008).
Eidth has taught at the university level in the U.S. and abroad all her adult life, being a pioneer for women in many respects, handling both career and marriage (with 5 children) continually without any time off, and much more. At the age of 86 (2010), she still attends professional societies and has given many scholarly papers and lectures.
