Dominick Brignola



Dominick Brignola enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1943. He was attached to the Seventh Fleet under the command of Admiral William F. Halsey. Assigned to the amphibious ship L.S.T. 1000, he took part in several active engagements in the south Pacific and Far East. He participated in the invasion of Okinawa, for which he received the Bronze Star. Other medals he received included: Philippine Occupation, China Sea Medal, and the Victory Medal. He received honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1946
