| Stanley Abrams was drafted into the Army
after his freshman year at the State College for Teachers. He arrived
in Europe just after D-Day, and fought in four major campaigns, including
the Battle of the Bulge. He was injured in a jeep accident at the
end of the war in Europe, and returned to the US in a hospital ship.
After discharge, Abrams complete his degree at State and taught social
studies briefly before becoming a school superintendent. |
