Reaching Higher, Achieving More Luncheon

Reaching Higher, Achieving More is an alumni campaign designed to showcase the remarkable career paths of University at Albany graduates. They are entrepreneurs, educators, lawyers, corporate leaders, entertainers, doctors, social workers, authors, policymakers and more, and their impact is truly global. This year will showcase Evan Michael Zahn ’82 and Kathryn Zox ’83. These alums along with the other alumni inducted into this campaign are points of pride for the entire UAlbany community. Registration required. Free.

Nanotech Complex Tour
Pick-up will be at the bus stop by the Science Library
Learn about the latest developments in nanotechnology as you tour the Albany Nanotech complex at the University at Albany’s College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. Bus transportation will be available. Bus departs at 10:10 a.m. The tour will begin in the NanoFab North Rotunda, Building 253. Registration required. Free.

Weather Watch Tour
NOAA National Weather Service Forecast Office, CESTM
Pick-up will be at the bus stop by the Science Library
Get a guided tour of the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) National Weather Service Forecast Office at UAlbany and learn about weather forecasts and the technology that gives forecasters the ability to provide accurate weather information. Bus transportation will be available. Bus departs at 10:10 a.m. The tour will begin in the CESTM Rotunda. Registration required. Free. *Individuals will be asked to sign in at the front door of the National Weather Service before entering the forecast facility.

Aqua Ducks Tour
Pick-up will be at the bus stop by Science Library
Join other alumni, students, parents and guests for an exciting time aboard the amphibious Aqua Ducks. Tour downtown Albany, see the historic sites and then view the city skyline as the “Duck” splashes into the Hudson River. Registration required. Cost: $21.00/person.

Touchdown Tailgate
Tailgate tent area on back lawn of Science Library
Get into the spirit, enjoy food, fellowship and fun with other Great Danes fans under the big top. Receive free food, drink vouchers and a free T-shirt if you preregister. Free parking in the Dutch Quad lot; $5.00 in the SEFCU lot. Tables will be reserved for the Class of 1970.

UAlbany Football Game vs. St. Francis Red Flash
University Field
Wear your purple and gold proudly and cheer on the UAlbany Great Danes as they tackle the opponents. Registration required. Cost: $12 reserved seating, $10 general admission and $3 kids 2-12. Free for reunion class members who preregister.

UAlbany Uptown & Downtown Campuses Bus Tour
Pick-up will be at the bus stop by the Science Library
See some of your old haunts and reminisce with alumni during this tour of the various buildings on both campuses. Geoffrey Williams, University archivist, will host the tour. Bus departs at 1:00 p.m. Registration required. Free.

Great Danes Great Bash

Alumni are invited to mingle and reminisce at this popular UAlbany watering hole. Enjoy munchies and beverages. Event is free to all preregistered alumni and their guests only. (Limit 1 guest)

The World Within Reach Speaker Series
SEFCU Arena
Barbara Walters will be the featured speaker at this event sponsored by the Student Association. Walters' ground-breaking exclusive interviews with world figures and her enterprising reporting have made her one of the most highly acclaimed journalists on television. Registration required. Free.
