Monitoring: Compilation, Analysis, & Use of Data

Classroom Level

Diagnostic, benchmark, and other assessments are frequently administered and analyzed for levels of mastery

Teachers administer diagnostic, district benchmark, informal, and formal assessments throughout the school year. Teachers analyze homework, classwork, and assessments for patterns of strengths and weaknesses in student performance, sometimes with the assistance of computer software programs that display levels of mastery.

They participate in training and conversations around how to use assessment data to inform instruction, and ensure that students are familiar with the formats of the state assessments.
