Preventing and Treating Alcohol-Related Problems

Several grants support the University Counseling Center’s efforts to develop and test approaches to preventing alcohol- and drug-related problems, as well as a variety of other issues, e.g. suicide prevention. Projects and programs include peer-assisted interventions, expanding treatment for high-risk students, and Screening and Brief Interventions (SBI) for athletes, sorority and fraternity members, and others.
