| Sources of Data for Noncredit Postsecondary Education |

|
Kevin Kinser, Associate Professor, Educational Administration
and Policy Studies, received funding that enabled him to provide some of the first-ever informational
tools that can form a basis for future research
on noncredit education. He interviewed
data experts and surveyed a range of organizations
that offer alternative postsecondary education programs.
Such programs include continuing education, work-related
training, and credentialing in the trades and technical
fields; these are offered both by traditional institutions
of higher education as well as a variety of other
profit and nonprofit organizations (e.g., business
and industry, professional associations, and community
groups).
