Evaluating an Entrepreneurial Ph.D. in Fuel Cell Manufacturing

background image

Assistant Professor of Educational Administration and Policy Studies Pamela Theroux is working with a Ph.D. Program at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to research, evaluate, and assess a National Science Foundation-supported Integrated Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) Program in Engineering, Science, and Entrepreneurship of Fuel Cells.

The quasi-experimental design will employ both qualitative and quantitative methods over time to monitor implementation and achievement of the program objectives, including student, faculty, and off-campus participants’ experience. It will also track student academic performance and progress in coursework, research, internships, and career placement.
