Free Web Seminar on Art, Dementia and the Aging Brain
The American Society on Aging's second Web seminar features streaming video. Focusing on connections between creativity, dementia and the capacities of the aging brain, the free “Art and Dementia” seminar draws on a dynamic presentation by Bruce Miller, which was sponsored by ASA's MindAlert program at the 2007 Autumn Series on Aging in San Francisco.
“Our new Web seminar brings Internet users around the globe a chance to learn from an expert who takes very technical research and presents it in an easy-to-follow format,” said Nancy Ceridwyn, director of MindAlert. “Dr. Miller highlights some of the strengths retained by older adults with dementia, offering fascinating new perspectives for both professionals in aging and informal caregivers.”
To take the Web seminar on art and dementia at no charge -- and to learn about ASA's full range of Web seminars -- visit www.asaging.org/webseminars.
This is free and you need to register but don't have to be an ASA member.
