Alzheimer's Society
The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with all forms of dementia.
Alzwell Caregiver Support
The Alzwell caregiver support site provides newsletters, links to support groups, a bookstore, and other related sites.
American Association for Retired Persons (AARP)
A site maintained by the American Association for Retired Persons (AARP) offering suggestions and recommendations for home modifications to maintain independence. Also links to AARP's main website.
Center for Universal Design
The Center for Universal Design is a national research, information, and technical assistance center that evaluates, develops and promotes, universal design in housing and related products.
Chronic Care Networks for Alzheimer's Disease
Chronic Care Networks for Alzheimer's Disease is a project designed to address dementia assessment and management in managed care environments. The project's newsletter and the assessment and care management tools are downloadable.
Dementia Research Group
This is the website of the Dementia Research Group funded by the UK government, charities and business. There are also links to European and other international research groups.
Electronic Dementia Guide for Excellence
The Electronic Dementia Guide for Excellence is an on-line resource developed with funding from the NYS Department of Health. Information is provided to support interventions and quality care for persons with dementia in out-of-home placements.
Free Medical Journals
Maintained by the AMDEO, it is planned that by 2003 that this site will make available all major medical journals on-line, free, and in full text.
National Academy on an Aging Society
The National Academy on Aging Society produces reports on aging policy issues. Many of their reports are available on-line.
National Alzheimer's Association
This is the main website for the National Alzheimer's Association Information is available for people with Alzheimer's and family care givers. Also, there are resources for physicians and health care professionals and for researchers.
