Steps to Spring registration

Search the schedule of classes to make a tentative schedule.

The schedule of classes search is an online search engine that allows you to see what classes are being offered in the following semester.  The search can be found either on the Advisement Services Center homepage (www.albany.edu/advisement) or through the MyUAlbany logon page (shown below).

1. Where do I find the Schedule of classes search?

2. Choose the Spring Semester.

3. Search for classes based on department.

For example: You can type APsy (or just Psy) in the Course subject box to find all of the psychology classes in the spring semester.  You can also click on the Subject Table link to get a list of all the departments at the University.

4. Check the box on the lower right corner of the screen to get only open classes and click submit.

5. This search returns the following results.

You can see that there are 63 matches to your search.

1. Class number.  This is the number that you will need to use when registering on MyUAlbany

2. Class name and days and times that the class meets.

3. Number of seats remaining in this class.

4.  General education category.  This class fulfills a Social Science requirement.

6. Searching for General Education classes.

You can search for specific general education categories by choosing the category in the drop down box.  The order of the categories in the drop down box is the same as the order that appears in your degree audit.
