About Sean:

Sean's broad research interests are primarily applied in nature. They include military and deployment psychology, assessment of third generation behavioral interventions, and dissemination of empirically supported treatments via alternative delivery systems. He is specifically interested in understanding the impact of combat deployment on military personnel and families, identifying mechanisms of action in treatment outcome research through the use of longitudinal mediational models, and evaluating the utility and effectiveness of online treatment modalities. In his free time, Sean enjoys backpacking, kayaking, and competing on ultramarathon relay teams.

Current Project(s):

Sean is the project manager for the "Living Well with Multiple Sclerosis" workshop series and the "ACT Self-Help Workbook Study." In addition, he recently defended his dissertation, Using the Unmatched Count Technique to Increase the Accuracy of Base Rate Estimates of Psychosocial Problems in Returning Combat Service Members. He recently left Albany to complete his APA approved pre-doctoral internship in Seattle. Please contact Sean directly for more information about his current projects.
