Students often find that a visit to the University at Albany helps them decide whether this is the university for them. Visitors can attend an information session and join a student-led tour during the week throughout the school year as well as many Saturdays when the University is in session. During the summer, information sessions and tours are offered Monday through Friday. Information sessions and tours are open to all students.
Transfer students have the option of attending an information session specifically designed for them and joining a student-led campus tour on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m. when the University is in session. Please bring a copy of your transcript(s) if you have questions about transfer of credit.
All tours visit classrooms, academic and other facilities, a residence hall and a dining area. Unfortunately, the tour does not include the athletic facilities due to time constraints. Please allow two hours for your visit.
NOTE: Please contact Undergraduate Admissions at (518) 442-5435 if you, or anyone in your group, requires handicap access. If you would like Undergraduate Admissions to provide a wheelchair for your visit, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can request that a wheelchair be available. If your visit is taking place on a weekend please be sure to contact us no later than the Thursday prior to your visit.
Group tours are available most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., when classes are in session. Group tours are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis and groups of high school seniors and/or juniors will be given preference. Interested groups should complete the Group Tour Request Form. For questions, please contact April Mead, Tour Coordinator, at (518) 442-5435 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
