Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy
The Nelson A. Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy is among the largest comprehensive public affairs teaching and research programs in the nation. Rockefeller College is composed of four nationally ranked schools, nine research centers and institutes, and a comprehensive Professional Development Program. The College has a world-class faculty of 100 scholars, more than 50 additional researchers and technical specialists, and an outstanding student body of over 1,300 graduate students and 870 undergraduate students.
All four schools offer graduate students opportunities for public affairs education, policy research, internships, and field. Together, the graduate programs of Rockefeller College have prepared more than 6,000 women and men for careers as public managers, researchers, political leaders, policy analysts, educators, information specialists, and practitioners in social welfare.
Research undertaken by the faculty of the Rockefeller College is central to the scholarly mission of the State University of New York. The opportunity for graduate students to participate in this research and to take courses from scholars at the cutting edge in their fields is intrinsic to graduate life at the Rockefeller College. Research centers and institutes of the College are: The Center for Policy Research, The Center for Women in Government, The Hindelang Criminal Justice Research Center, The Ringel Institute of Gerontology, the Center for Legislative Development, The Center for Social Work Practice Research, The Institute for Traffic Safety Management and Research, The Film and Television Documentation Center, and The Center for Human Services Research and Evaluation.
