The Academic Calendar

The annual construction of the planning calendar is a consultative process which includes units from across the UAlbany campus. The guidelines, variables considered, and units involved can be found in the “Final Planning Calendar Guidelines Reviewed by UPPC 11-7-12.” For a comprehensive history of the academic and planning calendars, see the document titled “Final Instructional Year Calendar Report,” which includes a longer narrative on the facets of calendar formation, past calendars back to 1968 and University Senate legislation related to the calendar.

Please note that, for the Spring 2013 semester, classes will be in session during the Passover (March 25, 26, 2013) and Easter (March 31, April 1, 2013) periods.

The academic planning calendars can be accessed at http://www.albany.edu/registrar/academic-planning-calendars.php.
