Directions to the Uptown Campus

From the South: I-87 (Thruway) to Exit 24; I-90 East to Exit 2; cross Washington Avenue onto campus and turn left, you are now on University Drive.

From the West: I-90 (Thruway) to Exit 24; I-90 East to Exit 2; cross Washington Avenue onto campus and turn left, you are now on University Drive.

From the North: I-87 (Northway) to Exit 1; I-90 East to Exit 2; cross Washington Avenue onto campus and turn left, you are now on University Drive.

From the East: I-90 West to Exit 2; left onto Fuller Road; left onto Washington Avenue; first right onto campus and turn left, you are now on University Drive.

From Albany International Airport: Exit the airport onto Albany-Shaker RD; Follow signs to I-87; Turn right onto I-87 South; I-87 to Exit 1; I-90 East to Exit 2; cross Washington Avenue onto campus and turn left, you are now on University Drive.

Once on campus: From University Drive, take your first right onto Collins Circle. Visitors Parking is found on the cobble stones at the top of the circle.

Directions to the Downtown Campus

From the South: I-87 (Thruway) to Exit 24; I-90 East to Exit 2; Turn left onto Washington Avenue, for approximately 3 miles to Robin Street. Make a right on Robin and go to Western Avenue. Turn right on Western Avenue, the Downtown Campus is on your right.

From the West: I-90 (Thruway) to Exit 24; I-90 East to Exit 2; Left onto Washington Avenue for approximately 3 miles to Robin Street. Make a right on Robin and go to Western Avenue. Turn right on Western Avenue, the Downtown Campus is on your right.

From the North: I-87 (Northway) to Exit 1; I-90 East to Exit 2; Turn left onto Washington Avenue, for approximately 3 miles to Robin Street. Make a right on Robin and go to Western Avenue. Turn right on Western Avenue, the Downtown Campus is on your right.

From the East: I-90 West (to Buffalo) to Exit 2; Left onto Fuller Road; left onto Washington Avenue for approximately 3 miles to Robin Street. Make a right on Robin and go to Western Avenue. Turn right on Western Avenue, the Downtown Campus is on your right. 

 

Directions to the East Campus

One University Place Routes 9 & 20 Rensselaer, NY  12144 (518) 402-0283

The East Campus is located in the Town of East Greenbush, Rensselaer County, directly across the Hudson River from the City of Albany.

From most points of origin, easiest access is from Interstate Rte. 787.

• Take the Rensselaer Exit for Rtes. 9 and 20 off of Rte. 787. This travels across the river on the Dunn Memorial Bridge.
• At the end of the bridge, stay to the left, following the signs to East Greenbush via Rtes. 9 and 20.
• Staying on the main road, you will go through Rensselaer and up the hill (Columbia Turnpike — Rtes. 9 and 20)
• After crossing two overpasses (but before the top of the hill) take the second left. This is marked with a large University sign. Head through the large gate and go straight on University Place.
• After the stop sign, go straight through the security gate and park in a designated area.
• Entrance is through the doors in the glass atrium on the newest building in the complex. (i.e., to your left as you enter through the security gate)
